If you think about it the only thing you will have to look back on years down the road are the photographs taken of your Wedding Day. Well, you will also look at you video if you had one done but for the most part pictures can often tell a better story. So in this article Omaha Brides.com will cover some of the most important questions to ask your potential photographer before you hire him/her.

You should start by looking at photographers as an artist in that no photographer is the same. They all have different techniques and ideas for capturing your day with still images. This is why it is critical to see a photographers work before you sign the dotted line.

Some questions to ask your photographer include:

1) What type of pictures do you recommend: candids, formal poses, portraits, groups, or a combination of all?

2) Are your pictures shot digitally, on film, or a combination of both?

3) Can we see examples of your prior work?

4) Will you be taking the pictures or an associate of yours? If not you, can I meet the associate?

5) If you and your fiancй do not want to see each other before the ceremony are there any time saving techniques you can use between the Ceremony an the reception?

6) Who all do you include in the formal pictures?

7) Will you give a check-list of potential group photos that you will take?

8) Have you ever worked at our ceremony and reception facilites?

9) How do we choose the photos we want to buy?

10) How soon will we get the proofs to choose from?

11) Are your proofs available for purchase?

12) When do I have do have my final order placed?

13) Once my order is placed how long will it take me to get my pictures?

14) Do you provide any guarantees?

15) Do you take any Black and Whites?

16) How long do we have you for during the day?

17) How long will you be at the reception?

18) Do you have an hourly rate if we exceed our time with you?

19) Do you offer different ordering options?

In the end remember that you will be spending a big part of your day with your photographer so it is important that you find someone that you like and that you are comfortable with.
